Disco Guysis
Disco Guysis is a memory from the late 1970s of an anecdote that trended in the form of a dialogue (in mixed Urhobo tongue) between a woken father and his son who returns from disco with friends in the early hours of the morning, say 2:00a.m. That was a time ‘guy way,’ to be a guy American [Blaxpoitation] style was seizing the minds of the Nigerian youth. It might sound dated today but is still treasured by old-timers and youth alike especially guys from the Warri axis.
Dialogue

Translation
Dad: Who are those?
Son: My guys and I.
Dad: What guys?
Son: The guys have no names.
Dad: Is this the time time you and your guys are coming back from disco?
Son: The guys say yes.
Dad: That’s good. You and your guys turn back right now.
*An alternative last word to the dialogue by the Dad is as follows;
Dad: Okaaaay. Ovwe ve guysisi vwe shekite right now!!!
(Dad: Okay. You and your guys check out right now.)
